I have extensive experience working in, maintaining, and curating kitchen gardens. I can see a garden though from seed to produce whilst also making the garden beautiful with flowers and natural structures. If you love organic, varied foods, interesting flowers and wildlife, I can help you!
I can help you to create year round interest, choosing and planting bulbs for spring, through to using plants to create structure and texture, which may be left throughout winter. I am very happy working independently or alongside clients who also enjoy their garden!
I maintained an allotment for 6 years whilst my two boys were young, and this allowed me to experiment with my gardening skills, consolidating my learning in real practical work. I have worked in other gardens, including a 5 acre private property for 9 years and a cut flower field, helping to produce flowers for sale.

I work to an hourly rate of £22 an hour minimum 4 hour slots. If travelling further than 30 minutes from Salisbury, I charge £24 per hour. Consultation work begins at £30 per hour.
I maintain existing borders, weed, cultivate, cut back, prune, train plants, care for pots, propagate, care for greenhouse plants and curate kitchen gardens and cutting gardens. I also drink lots of Earl Grey tea...
I achieve an awful lot with a hand fork, a trug, a border fork, string and my very sharp secateurs! I do not mow, strim, chain saw, hedge cut or use heavy machinery such as leaf blowers. I do not use chemicals.
I spent 6 months of my training at Houghton Lodge gardens in Stockbridge and went onto finish my last 6 months at Heale gardens in Woodford. I trained under an absolute giant in Horticulture, Michael Maltby. I gained employment at Heale, part-time, for 5 years, largely in the walled productive garden, although tasks were garden wide, throughout all seasons. Alongside this, I worked a day in a private 5 acre garden for 9 years and also have experience in a cut flower field called Littleford Farm Flowers. I continued after Heale onto Reddish House, Cecil Beaton's former home, another historically significant garden. I was employed for 2 years, curating and managing the kitchen garden and cut flowers.
